Wireless Phone Recycling Association Of Wireless Professionals Annouces Recycling Plan For Unused Phones

The Association of Wireless Professionals announced today it is implementing a nationwide cellular telephone recycling and fundraising program.

With more than 150 million 'idle' cellular telephones in the United States, this recycling program will help both businesses and individuals to 'retire' their old cellular phones and accessories in an environmentally friendly manner while helping charities throughout the nation achieve their fundraising goals.

Cellular telephones contain many toxic materials and are very hazardous to the environment if they go into our landfills.

Wireless industry leader, Harry Brix, CEO American Wireless said With people replacing more than 50 million cellular phones each year, I see this program as an opportunity to dispose of these units in a responsible manner while assisting charities with their fundraising efforts.
