Wireless Headsets – Plantronics Enhances Wireless Freedom
Plantronics, Inc., the world leader in lightweight communications headsets, announced that it will introduce several new wireless products later this year. Plantronics' suite of wireless products will bring unprecedented freedom to office and mobile professionals worldwide.
Professionals are demanding tools that provide more effective and convenient ways to communicate. ‘Workstyles' and lifestyles are rapidly emerging that capitalize on the freedom and mobility of wireless communications.
Plantronics' next-generation of wireless products is designed to help accelerate the transition to this new way of work and life, making voice communications more natural and effective.
Plantronics' 2003 wireless headsets have been developed to facilitate the transition from being ‘tied' to a desk or mobile phone to communicating hands-free, on the go.
With workers expecting to communicate effectively anytime, anywhere, the market for wireless solutions is ripe. A study conducted by Access Markets International Partners, Inc., predicts that in the U.S., over half of the entire workforce will be mobile by the year 2006.
Plantronics' wireless products incorporate state-of-the-art design and sound quality that have become synonymous with the brand. The headsets are tailored to meet the specific needs of the user, be it in the office or on the go, and to enhance the communications experience. Plantronics suite of wireless products will include:
- The M3000 Bluetooth Headset – A compact, stylish mobile phone headset with an industry-leading feature set that includes unparalleled sound quality and talk time. The M3000 is compatible with Bluetooth devices such as mobile phones and smartphones. Its noise-canceling microphone provides superior sound quality and its intuitive controls make answering and ending calls effortless whether in the office or on the go.
- The CS50 and CS60 office headset systems – These wireless office telephone headset systems combine hands-free communication with wireless mobility, giving office professionals the ability to stay in touch as they move around their workplace. The lightweight wireless headset is self-contained and uses digital encryption to provide secure communications. The headset also features a noise-canceling microphone for clear conversations and a convertible design so it can be worn over the ear, over the head or behind the head.
Both wireless systems use digital technologies designed for their respective geographic markets. In addition, the new office systems have been designed as a platform that can accommodate other wireless technologies.
Our 2003 wireless products set the stage for changing how we communicate at work and in life, said Ken Kannappan, president and CEO of Plantronics. These new products are designed to become an integral part of the new wireless lifestyle and workstyle.
The new Plantronics wireless headsets will be on display in Europe at the CeBIT tradeshow in Hannover, Germany, March 12 – 19 at the Plantronics Stand E38 in Hall 27, and in the U.S. at the CTIA tradeshow in New Orleans, Louisiana, from March 17 – 19 at Booth #3313.
The new wireless products are scheduled to begin shipping this summer. For additional information and to experience Plantronics' vision of the wireless lifestyle and workstyle, visit www.plantronics.com.
